REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb 01, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), an Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced the addition of Dwayne Black as Senior Vice President of Operations. An experienced leader in digital printing, operations management, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, transportation and inventory control, Mr. Black will report to Shutterfly’s President and CEO, Jeffrey Housenbold. Mr. Black will be responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of Shutterfly’s manufacturing, global order fulfillment and customer service operations in both its state-of-the-art Hayward, CA and recently announced Charlotte, NC manufacturing facilities.

Mr. Black joins Shutterfly with more than 20 years of operations and logistics expertise, with experience opening or restructuring twelve manufacturing and distribution facilities domestically and internationally. He will replace Jeannine Smith, who will remain as an advisor to the Company until June.
Prior to Shutterfly, Mr. Black served as Vice President of Operations with the Banta Corporation, a leading provider of printing and digital imaging solutions to publishers and direct marketers owned by RR Donnelley (NYSE: RRD), where he was most recently responsible for the strategic direction and management of five successful manufacturing facilities. Throughout his 12 year tenure with Banta, where his clients included many Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Black held various leadership positions within Banta’s Literature Management Group, Packaging & Fulfillment Group and Book Group.
Before joining Banta, Mr. Black was the Logistics Manager with Porcher Ltd., a division of American Standard, Inc. He has also held management positions for other consumer products companies including Imperial Wallcoverings and Banner Foods. Mr. Black studied Engineering at Purdue University.
